Wovenplay – Magic and Imagination

Cowgirls, pirates, butterflies and knights all come to life in the Wovenplay workshop. This brand has the magic touch: its beautifully designed costumes, made from natural, organic fabrics, spirit children away to fantasy worlds and dream lands. We all want to play!
Bubble Collaborates with EJF Cotton Campaign and Caramel

Bubble, the kids trade show, is inviting EJF (the Environmental Justice Foundation) and Caramel to collaborate on an exclusive tee-shirt for the London show. All proceeds from sales of the tee-shirts will go to the EJF Cotton Campaign.
Over the last few years, EJF has worked hard to stop abuses linked to cotton production with children. For 2008, they have an active campaign to fight the use of child labor in West African cotton-producing nations, and Bubble wishes to support that effort by turning the spotlight on EJF. Internationally acclaimed designer Eva Karayiannis of Caramel Baby & Child (www.caramel-shop.co.uk) has been chosen by Bubble to create an exclusive illustration for the onesie and tee-shirt that will be sold at the show.
What a wonderful way to support the charity and link it to the kids' world. The aim is to raise awareness, and the children's industry in particular should be very sensitive to that. Let's hope the campaign is a huge success!

Sweet William: The Latest in Hip Clothing For Williamsburg’s Kids

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, this eclectic store, owned by ex-fashion market editor of Cookie magazine, Bronagh Staley, offers a delightful selection of clothing for all the local boys, girls and babies.
Bronagh has used her keen eye as a fashion editor to select an enchanting collection ranging from newborn to six years old. Brands carried include an array of both American and European lines such as Tuss, Black Rabbit, Bluebird, Flora and Henri and Wovenplay. An adorable shoe collection is represented by such brands as Aigle Boots, Little Raggio, Pepe and Trippen. Alongside the clothing is a great selection of hand-crafted realistic furry animals by Hansa, adding to the organic, woodsy feel of the store.
There are also many ideas here for baby gifts, including cozy cashmere blankets, warm wool knit caps and designer bib sets. A must-have for any local tot is an 'everyday wear' decorative cape by Angela Devine – an inspired alternative to the usual superhero ones! For any precious new baby prince or princess there are irresistible metallic gold booties by Mor Mor Rita, another Brooklyn-based company.

kit+lili: A Bold And Bright World Of Childrenswear

kit+lili approach kids' fashion from the viewpoint that childhood is fleeting and that graphics, color and softness are really what children want in their clothes! Inspired by Scandinavian textile design, this brand is a world of bold and bright images. The entire collection is produced in Argentina, printed on 100% organic cotton and designed for comfort.
For newborns, there are onesies and rompers in bright citrus and primary-color geometric prints. What really gives these items a special quality is the contrast fabric trim on the neckline and sleeves! This same design feature follows through to a selection of long-sleeved tees for boys and girls. The oversized animal, tree and flower graphics for tees are a sophisticated and edgy look for the little ones. For girls, there are adorable dresses that can be mixed and matched with printed leggings for a great spring/summer style.
kit+lili also carry bright and cheery floor pillows – a fun look for any child's nursery or playroom. For mothers who love the kit+lili prints, there's also a line of cotton totes to carry around town!
To see the latest collection by kit+lili, stop by their booth at the Bubble NY show in March.
