Couverture, a new retail gem in London

Bubble was recently invited to the launch party of the new super cool family lifestyle store in London: Couverture & the Garbstore! www.couverture.co.uk Located in a beautiful old timber workshop at 188 Kensington Park Road, in the heart of hip Notting Hill, Emily Dyson (yes..of the famous techy vacuums) has opened a beautiful concept store, with lots of 'must have' items worked in collaboration with designers, and vintage pieces. European, Japanese and American influences are mixed in over 3 floors. The Kings Road Couverture shop is now closed, but it's all for the better.

Bubble-icious

Poloppo's mission is to encourage creativity in children, to help artistically talented kids achieve their dreams, and thereby amplify the voice of the world's children.
We LOVE this concept, as much as we LOVE owner Cherie Aarts Coley's cool report on Bubble.

Thumbs up for Bubble NY's new venue!

New York, 19 March 2008 –Bubble New York hosted its 5th edition in a new venue that both vendors and buyers agreed fits Bubble’s image and concept. The layout, like a long corridor, made it easy to take in every single exhibitors collection in a single stroll.
Visitors were greeted in the industrial space of the lobby by an exhibit of hand knitted creatures from UK-based artist Donna Wilson, while the giggles and schoolyard voices of Labtonic’s soundtrack gave the impression of being back at the playground.
The 1,180 visitors featured the best Kids Stores in the US (Barneys, Bloomingdales, ABC Carpet, FAO Schwartz, Yoya, Calypso, Giggle, Estella, Scoop, etc) and abroad (Le Bon Marche Paris, Isetan, Mitsukoshi, Stomp Stamp, Chigo, Ships Japan, etc).
Stay tuned for more info on the next show!
